Local school wins LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne’s School Design Challenge!

Golden Square Primary School in Bendigo have had their much-loved school campus made out of LEGO®!

Golden Square Primary School won a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre competition where schools were asked to share the best things about their school and include a visual representation that would inspire the design for the LEGO model.

Beating entries from schools across Victoria, Grade 3/4 students Bella and Zahli won the judges’ votes with Bella’s artistic impression and Zahli’s glowing report of the school.

Golden Square Primary School will now join LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s Miniland, honoured alongside models of Melbourne icons including the MCG and Federation Square.

You can view the full build on the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Facebook page.

The completed LEGO school will be displayed in LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s popular MINILAND – a large-scale LEGO brick model of Melbourne that has been created from more than 1.5million bricks. This newest addition to MINILAND will remain in the exhibit for one year and will then be gifted to Golden Square Primary School.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Melbourne encourages children to enjoy a world of creativity, colour and brick-building fun in Australia’s ultimate indoor LEGO playground. The centre runs interactive school excursion programs that are aligned to the national curriculum and inspire students’ imaginations through educational play experiences.
