Draw Your Favourite Sea Creature Contest Winners!

Two Victorian students have won the chance to have their favourite sea creature replicated into a LEGO® model and displayed in LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre!

The winning design, a very colourful hermit crab, was drawn by a Brentwood Kindergarten student and a LEGO replica of her design will be created to showcase in the popular Melbourne attraction! Her entire class will also win an amazing $500 Crayola prize pack to enjoy as well as an excursion to visit the model at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre. The runner-up’s turtle design from St. Gabriel will also be replicated and displayed at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre!

The two students were declared the winner and runner-up of a nation-wide creative drawing competition, which encouraged students to draw their favourite sea creature to celebrate the opening of the all new LEGO play zone Underwater Quest. The students uploaded a photo of their artwork and shared why they think it should win.

The contest was judged by LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre’s Master Model Builder, David Holder, who will now set to work building a LEGO replica of the winning designs. This special project is expected to take 1,153 bricks and 12 hours for the hermit crab, and 987 bricks and 10 hours for the turtle.

The completed LEGO sea creatures will then be displayed in the attraction’s popular Underwater Quest exhibit where guests can discover the depths of their imagination in the magical world beneath the waves!

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Melbourne encourages children to enjoy a world of creativity, colour, and brick-building fun in Australia’s ultimate indoor LEGO playground. The centre runs interactive school excursion programs that are aligned to the national curriculum and inspire students’ imaginations through educational play experiences.
