Unless you have an Annual Pass, tickets are sold on a single admission basis, and once you have exited the attraction after entering, re-entry will not be permitted.

We encourage families to interact together and explore their imaginations and creativity through a world of open play, and therefore visits are not guided. We recommend staying no longer than 2-3 hours.

We do not allow outside food or beverage, unless caring for babies or food allergies.

We can still admit you up to two hours after your entry time and will do our best to get you in as quickly as possible. Please be advised there may be a slightly longer wait time.

LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Melbourne is now open, and is permanently located at Chadstone - The Fashion Capital. Visit our opening times page for information on operating hours.

As part of broader LEGOLAND Discovery Centre attraction, there is a retail store. All members of the public, both adults and children are able to access the retail store without purchasing an admission ticket or entering LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. The retail store features a Pick-A-Brick wall, a Build a Minifigure section, and many limited edition and hard to find products.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centres however, are not retail shops alone. They are small, indoor children’s attractions similar to children’s play centres however designed around the iconic LEGO brick. Most importantly they are unique and very special places specifically conceived and designed from a child’s perspective, providing 2/3 hours of high quality interactive and educational fun for children aged 3-10 and their families and friends. Many of the key features in the attraction therefore are not suitable or designed for the use of older children or grown adults of any ability - the soft play area, or DUPLO Farm for example.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centres include a range of exciting LEGO play areas, interactive rides, brick pools, master classes from the LEGO Master Model Builders, special party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations, a 4D cinema and, of course, the popular MINILAND area, a miniature LEGO® brick replica of iconic Melbourne landmarks and monuments.

In order to constantly maintain a quality experience in which to play, LEGOLAND Discovery Centres around the world do not permit entry to any groups of adults, adult couples, who are not accompanied by a young child or children during standard hours. Developed in discussion with our visitors, we believe this policy to be appropriate and practical for this particular attraction and its visitor profile. We absolutely embrace our Adult fans of LEGO and recognise that the appeal of the LEGO brick uniquely crosses all barriers, and fans come in all ages and abilities. As such we have developed a series of regular Adult nights. The Adult nights have been created not only to provide an opportunity for Adults to be welcomed into our centre but provide a high quality product experience that all Adult fans will enjoy.

Please email if you would like us to check Lost Property for you.

For health and safety reasons, children and adults are required to wear socks for our Duplo® Farm Adventure and LEGO® City Fire Academy soft play areas. Please ensure that you bring socks for yourself and your little ones, we also offer fun-tastic socks which can purchased from our Cafe!

To ensure our guests have the best experience possible, we have limited the number of visitors that can be in the Centre  at one time. All guests buying tickets online OR at the door will be required to make a reservation for an entry time.

  • Upon your arrival to the Centre, you will enter the "I Have Tickets" line at the start of your reservation.
  • Please note during peak periods such as school holidays, weekends and public holidays there may be a longer wait time.

Walk-Up Purchase

  • If you purchase tickets at the door, you will be required to reserve the next available time slot. You will enter the 'I Need Tickets' line to make the initial purchase, and then join that 'I Have Tickets' line at the allocated time-slot of your ticket. The only way to guarantee your entry is to reserve your tickets online.
  • Please note, during peak times, we may sell out of walk-up tickets. The only way to guarantee your entry is to purchase your tickets in advance on oue website.

During peak times, we recommend limiting your visit to 3 hours or less.

When booking your ticket you will be asked to select a date and time (during peak periods) for your arrival. To ensure our guests have the best experience possible, we limit the number of visitors that can be in the Centre at one time. There are 15 minute windows between reservation times to control capacity in the attraction.  This creates a better experience for all our guests!

During peak times, you may experience a short wait in the "I Have Tickets" line as guests enter the Centre.  The first experience in the Centre is a live show that takes approximately 15 minutes.  Guests may need to wait in line until the next show begins during their reservation time.

Guests that are a half hour late or more for their reservation will enter the "I Have Tickets" line, but may experience a longer than usual wait time.

You do not need to pre-book if you have FLYBUYS. Our friendly ticketing staff will allow you entry.

If you have purchased vouchers through a third-party company, you do not need to book online before you visit us! Simply bring your printed vouchers with you and our friendly admissions staff will allow you entry at your chosen time and date.

Annual Pass Holders

Our terms and conditions have always stated that there are certain circumstances whereby annual passholders may be denied entry to the attraction. A reason for this, for example, might be if the attraction’s capacity has been reached and more guests cannot be permitted entry at a certain time on a certain date due to safety reasons. While it isn't mandatory for guests to pre-book, we highly recommend doing so to ensure you can visit on your desired day and time (during peak periods). Our peak times tend to be weekends, public holidays, and school holidays. On most occasions, not booking on weekdays during Victorian primary school term dates wouldn’t be a problem and you would still be permitted entry.

COVID-19 Information
